We are very excited to show you the recently published ad in Worcester Magazine featuring our models to advertise the upcoming Run-Away Runway Fashion Show. Next week 7 of the models will be featured in BayState Parent Magazine. Models that will be gracing the catwalk with the fabulous designs:

WHO. Faye Guanipa is a senior at Massachusetts College of Art and Design, currently studying fashion design. She has formed a collaboration with a local organization called Alternatives Unlimited (here is their website: http://www.alternativesnet.org/ ) They are allowing her to utilize the performance center in their newly renovated mill in Northbridge, MA as a venue for a fashion show on Saturday May 9th. There will be six other designers from her graduating class there to present their senior collections on the runway. Each are currently working on collections made up of five pieces all centered around a theme of our own choosing. They range from the avante-garde, costume, cocktail dresses, and ready-to-wear. Each theme is unique, thoroughly innovative, and exciting.
The fashion show will include local community donations including 200+ cupcakes from our local bakery, 15 professional models from Mass Models modeling agency in Auburn,MA, and obviously the venue is a wonderful gift from Alternatives. As well as donations of time and talent from local hair stylists, make-up artists, and boston-based photographers from the New England School of Photography.
Additionally, Alternatives will be providing volunteers from within their own community who will make their debut on the runway carrying a collection of limited edition eco-friendly canvas bags (yet another donation from Nashville Wraps http://www.nashvillewraps.com/ ) on which each designer will create their own embellishments and manipulations for the benefit of a raffle at the end of the show.
2. WHAT. The concept of the show is “Run-Away Runway; Bringing Boston to the Blackstone”. We are bringing Boston designers and artists to mingle with other artists and neighbors of the Blackstone Valley.
3. WHEN. The date is Saturday May 9th at 7pm.
4. WHERE. At the Singh Performance Center in Northbridge/Whitinsville,MA. Seats will be limited but tickets are suggested donation of about $10-15. The location is beautiful, overlooking the water with wide-open window space. The theater is brand new and beautiful.
